It's pouring memories ...
RAIN
She said she liked the rain
sometimes. I, that the only thing
I have against it is it makes
you wet. Anyway on hot summer nights
the sound of it is cool. She said
when you are crossed in love
you listen to the words of the songs.
I said that being in love is bad
for the stomach; no one
should be in love after thirty.
She kissed me and ran naked
out in the rain, and indigestion
burned inside me like a fire.

What a wonderfully great choice for a quote (for a blogword post). Loved it!

Absolutely fab!! Three cheers for Liverpool - no wonder Ginsberg called it the centre of consciousness of the human universe.
ZAK, didn't know you were such a fantastic painter too.
Beautiful.

you did justice to the poem with the illustration. it's brilliant! :)

somehow your illustration manages to fill me with dread and touch me at the very same time...on one hand it's overpowering in a way that seems as if it's obstructing and confining, trying to make me choke by stopping me from breathing, and on the other hand it makes me want to let go of reason and drown into its abyss of sweet oblivion...amazing :) and this is coming from a person who ordinarily isn't very responsive to imagery :)
and thanks so much for visiting my blog...i just saw your comments :)
